SCHWANNOMA PENIS- A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Mesenchymal tumors are extremely uncommon in penis. Schwannomas or neurilemmomas are a class of nerve sheath tumors made up of differentiated neoplastic Schwann cells. The majority of benign and malignant penile mesenchymal tumors present as asymptomatic, non-tender lump. We present a young male with slow growing mass on penile shaft affecting penile curvature which was resected and histologically diagnosed as schwannoma. There is no recurrence on a follow-up of 6 months.
